HOW CAN GET RELUCTANT STUDENTS TO READ?
This seems the million-dollar question, doesn´t it?
We cannot get a simple answer to it. Building motivation to read is a complicated task and needs to be constructed every day. What leads one particular student to read may not have the same effect onto another. In other words, we cannot use the same approach with every student and there is where our big challenge lies.

In fact, we need to display a wide range of reasons why they should read. These reasons must be visible to our students. They should be shared, revised and repeated quite often to buid reading motivation step by step. One reason builds upon each other and supports one another.
No reason in particular is going to persuade a reluctant student to find the necessary motivation to read.
Therefore, we should get the message across by presenting a variety of reasons that will reinforce the benefits of reading.
